damnfkinidiots asked: I have six pairs of contact lenses that should last me the next year. I wore one pair of contacts for almost four months without any problems, but now that I have these six new pairs, I’m wondering if I should just switch them every two months or should I just keep wearing the one pair until I feel the need to switch them out? Does it make any kind of difference? I have really healthy eyes and no problems with my contacts up until now, but this is the first time I’ve worn contacts (save for that first trial pair), so I am a little green when it comes to this stuff.

needhelp asked: I know that you require a prescription within 1 year to buy contact lenses. However, I already have measurement for my eyes (base curve, diameter) on my previous contact lens boxes. So can i just get an eye exam just for testing my refraction/power ? What i actually need are the refraction…I have my eye size measurement on the boxes of my previous lens.
Or do I still have to get a prescription which lists my :
- refraction/power
- eye size
to be able to buy lens?

Jenny Q asked: Okay, so me and a couple of my friends are planning to go to Knott’s Soak City ^^. Is it a bad idea to wear contact lenses? I think you’re not allowed to swim with them but if water gets into them is that bad too?

Matt asked: I’ve had glasses for about 3 or 4 years now and recently I’ve been thinking about getting contact lenses. I’ve decided I like the way I look better without glasses. The only thing I’m concerned about is having to touch and put things in my eye. I’m a little worried about not being able to get used to it. So my question is how difficult is it to get used to touching your eyes? Also, does it feel weird having the lens in and if so do you get used to it?

MrKnowItAll asked: I’ve always wondered how colored contact lenses work. Are they completely colored, or is there a clear spot in the center for the pupil?
If they are completely colored, wouldn’t blue contact lenses tint your vision blue, like sunglasses? If there is a clear hole for the pupil, how does the fact the pupil changes size affect things? I would think when the pupil got really small you would see a small circle of the original eye color around it, and when it got big it would tint the edge of your vision.

Worried_about_car asked: Where can i get good contact lenses (which company makes the best ones)? Should I go to my eye doctor or to a eye glass company like Eyemart or Walmart Eye-something?

Ken asked: I want to get coloured contact lenses because I’m kind of sick of wearing glasses. How much do you think coloured contacts will cost me a year? Do you think $800-$1000 a year is enough to put aside?
Is there a difference in pricing for daily/weekly/fortnightly/monthly contacts?

Ummm
asked: I have 20/20 eye vision and i’ve tried colored contacts before i’ve tried Flexwear Colors contact lenses and they feel fine. They are a little bit uncomfortable but that’s maybe because my eyes get dry. I’m planning on buying Freshlook Color or Colorblends contact lenses and i’ve heard they are quite uncomfortable. So i was just wondering if i buy Freshlook Lenses and i’ve already tried other colored lenses will the uncomfortability level of the lenses be the same or will freshlook really be a problem?
